looking for the filter power supply or receptacle

Months ago, I saw a filter power supply in a shop. The salesman told me that it's
a filter power supply, actually I don't know what it is. It just like a common
electrical outlet or a receptacle. But the sound seems different when the
amplifier connect to it. Is anybody know this power supply?

Yakars seems to produce such filter.
They said it help improving sound quality, but how about image quality?
What's the principle of such receptacle?

Many companies make AC power products.

Some of the best-known are PS Audio, Monster, Electronic Specialists, Tripplite, Furman, Exact Power, Panamax, and  Torus. There are many more, but those are the ones that came to my mind first.  Every legitimate maker has information on their website describing what their products do and why they work. Any maker who doesn't include such information is suspect.

I found nothing on the Yakars site to indicate the product is anything other than a pretty AC connector strip.

All AC products are designed to improve your AC line's applicability for sound reproduction gear. The legitimate products address specific AC line issues. If your line doesn't have the problems the products are designed to address they will do little if anything to improve your AC.

You got to have a problem before you need a solution.

Hi: I have been considering one of these "power conditioner" units for my system. I like your line: "You got to have a problem before you need a solution". I don't know of any power line problems in my house but I am always interested in any thing that will improve sound quality but also for equipment protection. I have a TrippLite surge protector but these only provide a measure of protection via varistors and chokes, for the most part. Do these expensive "power conditioning" units protect my amps etc. better? Some of these are up to $2k to buy and offer some fantastic amount of insurence if something blows up while connected but how much of this is hype? Thanks, KDM

The surge surpressors sold in hardware stores will protect you gear from voltage spikes, but will do nothing to improve the sound of your system. You need an AC conditioner designed specifically for audio. A good conditioned can significantly improve a system. Take a look at PS Audio, Running Springs Audio, Shunyata, Furutech, Audience, and Synergistic Research.
