Krell Evo 202 vs. Evo 222

I'm considering replacing my Krell KCT preamp with either the Evo 202 or Evo 222.
I'm currently using the KCT to drive a Krell FPB-700cx amp with Nordost MMF CAST.
Are there any potential problems using the Evo preamp series to drive the previous
generation Krell amps? Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the Evo 202 or Evo 222
vs. the KCT, and what were the significant sonic differences?

I currently have a KCT with a FPB400 and am going to upgrade to the 202. I recently put a 202 into my system and was astonished at the difference. The KCT is quite bright sounding and a little thin but the 202 was so smooth and much more realistic. I am running the EVO 505 all Krell CAST linked through a pair of Martin Logan CLX's and the next move for me has to be the 202. I guess that I always knew that it was the weak link and the short trial proved this far more than I expcted. Good luck.

Are you still happy with your 202?  I receive my demo 202 today.
