I just joined this forum. No posts since 2008 !!!!!!!!!
I am a novice audiophile and have been playing banjo for 30 or more years.
Favourite players.. Bela, Noam Pikelney.
Also a big Chris Thile fan.
The Punch Brothers are awesome.

Have you heard Jake Shoepps? - he's a great banjo player.

Also have you heard the Punch Brothers work on the Derks Bentley CD? Best "Roving Gambler" I've ever heard.

I've known and studied under Chris and done workshops with his first teacher, John Moore.

This summer I'm signed up for a songwriting workshop with Tim O'Brien at the Rockygrass Academy.

Are you any relation to Jayme Stone, the great banjo player?
I have been thinking about buying the Bentley CD.
I think you have talked me into it.
I am also a big Tim O'Brien fan.

That is exciting you get to learn from such great musicians and great people as well.

I know Jayme as he plays in Boulder pretty regularly - no relation though.
Tim is an amazing musician. I even like Red Knuckles...
