If all you need is help mounting hardware and running some cable, any decent handyman should be able to help with that. Hardly seems like anything you would want to invest getting an expert involved with, IMHO :)
What level of the house are we talking about.? Fishing cables through walls and drilling holes in joists etc is time consuming for running cables.
Here you want a carpenter with references.!
Are we talking speaker wire, interconnects or an RF cable? If you pull the shoe molding and baseboard molding along the bottom of the wall you might find you have enough room to run the needed wires without a lot of work. You can take a reciprocating saw an open up the space between the floor and wall so you can fit the wires in better. A few pry bars, a recripricating saw, a hammer and some new nails are all the tools you need for this.
Dropping wires down from the attic is another option.
Mounting the TV on the wall is a little more difficult. A stud finder, drill, tape measure, pencil and level. Follow the manufactures instruction to the letter.
You other option is go to the top audio/video store in your area no not Worse Buy or Short Circuit City the one that sells Audio Research and Krell etc for a recommendation. This will cost you big bucks.
A bud should know someone with basic carpentry skills who can help you out.
Dont skimp on the mounting and make sure you are anchoring the mounting system to studs not just drywall.
A pro doing it going to cost a $500 or more. 1-2 hrs to mount Tv and 3-10 hrs for the wiring. Five hours minimum time.
Hiding wires is not worth cost in my time or paying someone else to do it.
I’m not in NY but I’m curious, what are you looking to do?
