I see that Apple's new iMatch gives you access to files in 256kbps format. But iCloud presumably keeps a copy of the exact file you've uploaded in whatever format that was in (e.g. Red Book or Apple Lossless or WAV). Does anyone know if that is correct?
I've written two Blogs about iCloud and iMatch at AudiophileReview.com.
Although Apple doesn't say what format files are being stored in, it does imply that they are also stored at 256 kbps.
Also iCloud is NOT a streaming service. Entire files will be sent to and from your computer for storage...
