There's been very little talk about full-band downloads ("Hi-Rez" files) since RH's review of the Berkeley DAC over a year ago. Why is this the case ? Shouldn't every audio reviewer be jumping up and down ? Are these files really better than the *best* CD ?
I AM jumping up and down, but you can't see me...

i am having a difficult time finding ones that interest me. Too many of the hi-rez files out there are Classical, Jazz or for lack of a better term "innovative".
That looks like a problem. But I still find it strange that no other publication has screamed "live mike feed" (from the Berkeley, etc.) like RH did at TAS. Are they listening ? Or is this just another Hi-Rez hoax ? (Following SACD - which in the view of many, was *not* an across-the-board improvement over great CD).
Peace......
Hardware needs kill-app software to survive.
Avatar is the first killer app for 3d.
The closest to a killer app for higher definition music is the Beatles 44/24 WAV files from their limited edition Apple "box."
Ken Kessler was the first to play them for me. Stunning.
