Hendrix to debut on Guitar Hero IV

Yet another major announcement for a video game; Hendrix songs will debut in the next Guitar Hero game.
Like it or not, plastic-instrument games are the new radio and MTV, and where many people will be getting their first exposure to music new and old. This follows what has been happening with the EA Sports franchises such as Madden, games that artists clamor to get songs into, for years.

I heard from my nephew (18 years old) that Guitar Hero has inked a deal with Joe Perry of Aerosmith.

Neil, Guitar Hero literally has an entire game based on Aerosmith. Expect more bands such as Metallica to follow suit.
