Help TECH Diagnosis?

:?: After 35 days of awesome operation My "NEW" Pioneer Plasma ELITE Pro950HD suddenly developed a 2" wide Black bar running horizontally across screen approx. 1/3 way up the screen. I am using good quality HDMI cable from Shaw Hd Cable box to Plasma and Digital Audio cable from Shaw Hd box to my Harmon 635 receiver.
I disconeected the HDMI cable & hooked up with a set of component cables but NO difference. Black 2" line still there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Unplug it for a couple of hours. If that doesnt fix the problem return the set to the store for a repalcement. Pioneer video products dont ahve the best rep for reliability. Dont wait around.

That sure sounds like a defect to me. I'd return it for another one right away. The good news is that Pioneer Elite TVs carry a 2-year warranty, compared with 1 year on non-Elite products, so even if this started happening more than a year from now, you're still covered.
