I recently inherited a Crown Series Pro-800 Recorder/Reproducer and boxes and boxes of classical and opera recordings. My step-father was a very meticulous fellow (an eye surgeon) and kept the unit in excellent condition. Even the file folder manual is in perfect condition. I found letters included that show correspondence with the Crown company, wherein my step father asks for advice, etc. So I know that I have this very nice piece of equipment, and a serious catalogue of recordings, but I have absolutely no idea where to start with selling it, and I have neither the space nor interest to keep it. I live in the SF Bay Area so I'm hoping to find someone in the area who would come pick it up rather than having to ship it. Can anyone give me advice on where to start with this? Is this perhaps something worth donating to a school? I'm sorry if I'm not posting this in the proper forum. Thank you for any help you can offer!
