Helicon 400 with Rowland 201's

I currently have Helicon 400 mk1 I will be up-grading tp the 800 mk2 in the future. I currently run everything through my Rotel 1095/1098 system. I would like to add Jeff Rowland 201's or 501's to the front channels. I would like Mr. Harley's opinion on these amps or if there is another amp he thinks would match up better. Thanks, Dino.

I have not heard the Jeff Rowland 201s or the 501s, although the company has a long history of making great-sounding amplifiers. We have a short preview of the Rowland 312 amplifier in the next issue, which reviewer Guido Corona found to be an outstanding match with the Vienna Acoustics Mahler loudspeaker.

You should know that the sound of a switching amplifier like the 201 is highly dependent on the loudspeaker it is driving. All switching amplifiers exhibit this variablity. I recommend you trying the 201 (or 501) with your DALI speakers.
