Headphone Amplifier

I'm looking to purchase my first desktop amplifier . I would sure appreciate some recommentations. as I'm a bit lost on the direction I should head. The amplifier will power a pair of sennheiser HD580 headphones and its music source is denon 1926 DVD player. My budget maximum is $400.
