Jonathan, On indentifying the V2 and Statement by physical appearance:
Does the statement have an infinity etching to the left of the serial number?
The weight of the statement vs V2?
Have you been listening to 47K all along on the statement or have you come off somewhat?
Thanks,
Geronimo
geronimo,
The Statement has an infinity mark etched on the right side of the cartridge body, level with the diamond on its front face. Its weight is 17 grams. And, yes, I have been listening at 47k and do prefer this loading, though its importer Garth Leerer prefers to load it down to about 500 ohms.
Jon
That statement really sounds great listened on a super system last night. JV are you listening with the Ref2 or the IO eclipse?
The ARC Reference Phono 2.
Hello JV again, I'm debating which phono stage to get IO eclipse or Ref2. My system: Ph7, Ref3, Ref 210, Clearaudio Innovation wood & DaVinci cartridge, Cardas cables from a to z. Many thanks. Forgot the clear audio TT2 linear tracking arm. Your opinion JV will be appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply Jonathan. I ran it for a week at 47k. Was, after a day out of the box exceptional. My older goldfinger was at 125 on my IO eclipse which is what I liked. I'm messing around with the loading but you couldn't have sold me more on this Goldie. Thanks. I will report back to you, because your the only one that I can discuss this with. Anyone else? Thanks again. Verrrrry excited.
The Goldfinger Statement really is the best moving-coil cartridge I've heard. Of course,it ought to be for $15k.
Jon, you could spend more and get less.
