The greatest deal in equalizers is the Behringer DEQ 2496. It's a killer deal for a very wonderful tool. The beauty of it is that it can used only in the digital domain negating any deleterious effects of analog. Also if you ad your own dac you're even better off. The AKM 4393 in it isn't bad at all considering the cost. Do some research at other audio forums like audiogon's and audioasylum. Lots more info there.

I read an article warning not to use digital eq in a bi-amped arrangement due to added time delay. Any experience with that?
Thomas,
One possible option is the Onix/Rocket RDES system (Rocket Digital Equalization System).
I haven't upgraded to the latest Rocket software, so I can't comment on how the current Rocket system performs.
For more information, contact the Onix/Rocket folks at www.av123.com
