Dyna FM-3

mecolwell -- Thu, 02/19/2009 - 08:23

I am using a Vintage Dyna FM-3 FM tuner in my system, which was fully reconditioned, updated sonically, and modded with caps, new circuits in the audio, etc.
FM can sound so good, if the station does it well. Here in Portland, Or., we have about 3 stations which sound really good, and a lot which, like most 2009 stations, sound really crappy.
But, the good ones, one college jazz (not "smooth jazz"), a classical, and an "adult album rock" which all sound great.
Anyone else using this tuner, in it's modded form??
Mike

I've owned and used stock FM-3 tuners in the past with great success.

I love its simple faceplate and, when properly adjusted, excellent performance with high-signal-strength stations.
