Dmitri Review: Question

Question for Mr. Harley:
I read your RSA Dmitri review with great interest.  I wonder: did you use Shunyata's CX power cords or did you use RSA's supplied power cords?

I used the Running Springs cord from the wall to the Dmitri, and Shunyata CX cords everywhere else.

Thank you for responding Mr. Harley.  It has been suggested that Shunyata's power conditioners have a tube-like warmth as where RSA's power conditioners have a more solid state-like coolness/neutrality.  Any truth to this in your experience?

I am not Mr. Harley, and although I have heard many components, Mr. Harley probably hears more components over 2a weekend  than I have heard in my active 5 year audio life.

With that said, I can speak from my experience regarding this topic.   Although I have not bothered with Shunyata power conditioners based on feedback from friends with similar tastes (my friends claim they just don't work that well), I own the Running Springs Haley.  The "SS amp" analogy to describe Running Springs rings true to me.  The Haley is very dynamic and has very good bass control.  The midrange is very liquid, but not syrupy.  Using the SS amp analogy, this is similar to how a powerful amp grabs and controls the speaker.

As with anything in this hobby, try to disprove my comments by listening for yourself.  However, I am most certain that there is no better value than the Haley in power conditioning.
