My 8-yr old SonyWega 60" LCD is starting to die as the optics are failing. In looking to replace it in the near future, my first visit was to Best Buy where I was told that Panasonic plasma sets provide the most true (accurate) pictures while Sony focuses on bright colors and LG focuses on clarity. I will be looking for a 60"+  replacement and of course the BB guy recommended the Panasonic TC-P65VT50. I had some issues with burn-in but was told that those issues have been pretty well resolved. I'm not into gaming or using the set as a monitor of the computers.I enjoyed my Sony but service from them was suspect and expensive. Any thoughts or suggestions on what to consider as a replacement set would be greatly appreciated. Having been away from the mrket for so long makes me a newbee - again.

Current Sony is part of a home theater setup. Set still functions well - replacement need is not yet time-sensitive.
