Displays that allow disabling the onboard Video Processor

rdseepaul -- Thu, 01/25/2007 - 16:58

 I am looking for a display plasma or lcos based that allows the owner to disable or bypass any built in Video Processor / Scaler and thus permits the uninfluenced use of an external one e.g. Lumagen Radiance XD or DVDO iScan VP50. Is such a display available anywhere ?

I'm not completely sure. I know that the Toshiba LCD's for example have a picture size setting that is called "Native".
This allows the TV to show whatever resolution is coming in at it's native resolution. Although, I believe there may be other processing involved.

YOu may want to try the Pioneer Kuro line, The Elite has ISF calibration and may have some other settings.

I know that DVDO's guys are very knowledgeable about how their equipment integrates with others displays. You might want to try to contact them for their experience with different displays.
