Determining Phono Capacitive Settings

Steve A -- Mon, 04/13/2009 - 19:11

I recently upgraded to a SimAudio Moon LP 5.3. One of the features of this phono preamp allows you to select three different settings for capacitive load; 0pF, 100pF and 470pF.  I’m using a ClearAudio Virtuoso MM Cartridge with a load capacitance of 220 pF-270 pF and Kimber Kable Hero interconnect with capacitance of 76.5 pF. The tonearm cable is clearaudio SmartCable with capacitance of 260 pF. My question is, how do I determine the correct setting based on the equipment I have?
