deciding on new speakers

I have a McIntosh 402 amp and an EAR prepamp and I am looking at Opera Divina speakers. We listen to mostly classic rock and jazz.

Anyone have any feelings on how these speakers will work with the amp and preamp ?

I've heard the Opera speakers only at shows. If there's an Opera dealer near you, you might consider taking your power amplifier to the dealer for an audition. The power amplifier/speaker combination is more important than the preamp's contribution to the overall sound.

Thank you for your suggestion and even better perhaps the vendor might be willing to loan us the speakers to audition in our home with our system..
What did you think of the speakers ?

I liked them in the brief audition, but I don't remember which model I heard.

Auditioning the speakers in your own home is a much better way of discovering if you want to live with the speaker for many years. You can relax, listen to a wide range of music, and really make the right decision.

Let us know what you think of the Opera speakers if you are able to hear them at length.

Thanks for your reply and I'll keep you posted on our comments with further listening to the Divinas. We did spend some time in the store and the sound stage left us in awe. We couldn't find the speakers....they completely disappeared.

have you purches opera speaker.I have popera davina its nice looking and very good with jeff rowland 112 I hope keep this speaker for long time the drivers are small but you think of them too bussy enjoying mussic
