CROS hearing aid

I have severe unilateral hearing loss in my right ear.  The hearing aid technician has recommended a device called a CROS (contralateral routing of signal).  Does anyone have any experience with this type of hearing aid?

Same situation here. Any views, comments, benefits with the CROS hearing aid? What about the one made by Unitron?

I am looking into a hearing aid. How about a discussion on which are good, sound good to an audiophile, cost vs performance, etc.
I am all (less sensitive than before) ears.
