I have a smallish room (11.5 feet by 17 feet, height is 10.3 feet). I am considering the YG Carmel. would it be compatible with my Dartzeel NHB 108 amps (which is rated at 100w)? I listen to rock music, and have found many 3 way speakers over-loading the room.
Thanks
M17,
I have had experience with the YG Carmel using the Dartzeel amps. It's a great combination. I've actually done an event with the Carmels using the Dartzeels (I'm associated with YG). The size room you speak of would work great for the power rating of the NHB 108. For more detail and pertinent information I'm available at 801-726-3887.
Thanks
At T.H.E. Show in Newport Beach, I heard the YG Carmel in front of the Veloce class-D Platino V6 monoblock amplifiers (120W into 8 ohms).
I thought the sound was very natural and I was very impressed with the speakers because of it.
Of course you have to consider everything else in front of that too.
Do you want to better or do you want to be good?

I've spoken with YG (the person) and he stated that the Carmels are easy to drive and that 60 watts into 8 ohms was sufficient to drive the Carmels to their full potential.
