I agree; perhaps in functionality this falls short. But c'mon, the whole concept of "music as religion" doesn't get better than this. Strunk & White can't offer that.
For me an iPod case needs two things this one doesn't have:
1. belt clip
2. armband.
My fave is the Aluminum/Titanium clamshell case with a swivel belt clip and accessory armband.
If I have to chose a book to mimic I'd rather see Webster's dictionary or Strunk and White.
