RH gave these speakers a very favorable review. I was wondering if any of the other staff members were going to do a follow-up so we can get some second opinions. After looking over 30-year-old issues of TAS I noticed this was a regular feature, second opinions and follow-ups.
By the way, what ever happened to PHD and JWC? I always found my personal reviews, if you will, of the the equipment they reviewed, matched their opinions.
PHD and JWC, unfortunately, no longer write for TAS.
Publishing a follow-up review entails the same amount of time, expense, and limited editorial pages as publishing a review of a different product. With so many new products available, I think readers would like to see a broader spectrum of products covered.
Thanks for your reply. I understand you have a lot on your plate. Have you had a chance to listen to the LSA speakers and amplifiers? I was mighty impressed last month when I heard them. I'm an old electrostatic (QUAD ELS-57) fan and when I can combine that coherency and imaging in a product, it gets my attention.
