Had an opportunity to hear the B&W 805's and a Sonus Faber bookshelf recently. I thought both sounded great and am considering buying one of the two. Am I aiming low and what do you think of the two I mentioned? Any help would be appreciated.

A lot of good options at this price range, but it will boil down to system matching. What amplification are you planning to use with them? I've tried a lower model B&W (CDM1SE's) with SS (Rotel) to some success (warm to a fault), have heard 705s with Musical Fidelity X150s (quick and clean but not very musical and involving), and ive had a not so nice experience with Sonus Faber Minima Amators partnered with Krell SS amp (bright, fatiguing). Now im using Dynaudio Contour S1.4 with Krell SS amp and tube preamp and im very satisfied (so far :) )Which models are you looking at for both brands?
