Boston Acoustics MM220 computer system speakers

Hello,
I purchased a pair of these from Audio Advisor for about $40 including shipping. They sound pretty good for computer system speakers. The new, tall, monolith style look that is similar to an old Dahlquist is kind of neat and not as visually apparent as you may think it would be. Bass is fantastically low and driving (with the Windows Vista Home Premium EQ set to powerful), midbass is punchy, midrange is fairly open, and the treble is decent at least due to the separate (actual) tweeter. You can tell they have some power behind them and can crank it up a fair amount before distortion takes over. The floor mounted amplifier / control box cord can easily come out if you hit it with your foot when tapping to the beat, so set it out of the way if you can. Overall, pretty cool little system for a computer for very little money that comes double boxed and well packaged. It would be great if they came with a longer cord between them to set them further apart for better separation / staging. I would recommend them.
Tom
