Bossa Nova lovers out there?

Are there any fans of bossa nova? Lovers of Tom Jobim, Joao Gilberto, Gal Costa, Elis Regina, etc. For me it's some
of the most beautiful, romantic popular music ever written.  I first heard the sound track of Black Orpheus in 1959 and
immediately fell in love with it even before I saw the movie. I have most of the great recordings on CD including Jobim's last concert with Herbie Hancock.

I plead guilty :)
There's still great Bossa being done - check out Celsio Fonseca, Clara Moreno, Joyce, Milton Nasciemento etc..

That's good news. I thought bossa nova was over a long time ago, replaced by that awful lambada. Milton has been around for a long time. Have you heard Paula Morelenbaum? Great resonant voice and my favorite singer of Jobim. If Bossa is still around it's not as popular as it used to be but styles change in all the arts and I guess everything else, as well.

Some great music coming out of Brasil including Bossa. Will compile a list and post it.

Giles Peterson, Radio One BBC DJ, did an extraordinary audio tour through Brazil a few years back. His odyssey capturing the old and new Bossa coming out of Brazil is Podcast and available for free on iTunes.

Great news! Where can I find it in iTunes?

Geetings!
Rosa Passos is Brazil's best living bossa nova singer.
I recommed two outstanding CDs: Rosa on Telarc and Entre Amigos on Chesky.
Have fun!
