I recently purchased a new Samsung HP-T4254 plasma 42" TV, and got the HD cable box to go with it. The HD channels look awesome on the TV, however the non-HD channels look terrible. Everything is choppy and boxy. Is there an A/V receiver or some type of hardware that will do a sort-of upconvert so I can get a better picture from the non-HD channels? My TV doesn't seem to have anything built in that will do this.
An external video processor could be a big help. Check out our latest reviews of four such processors in the current (October) issue of TPV, which you can download for free from our Web site.
Who is your cable company? What is the make and model of the HD cable box?
