Avalon Symbols

 Hi all,
I have a new pair of Avalon Symbol speakers, and need some speaker cables for my apartment system.
The system consists of a Cayin A-88T integrated amp and a Marantz DV9500 Universal Player.  Both are relatively warm-sounding components with excellent detail.  The interconnect is an Audioquest Cheetah.  I also have a REL T2 subwoofer to round out the sound, and add a bit of needed bass.
Any suggestions in the $300 - 800 range would be greatly appreciated.
And it would be great to see TAS do a review of the Symbols - they are brilliant as a small room/apartment stereo speaker.  Neutral with great detail.  Bass is a bit lean, but I figure that is to be expected in what was originally a multi-channel speaker.  Build and design are incredible - they get lots of compliments from my wife, who is Danish and a modern architecture fan (talk about a tough crowd to please re. industrial design!).
Thanks all,
Bill

Hello Bill
If your bass is a bit lean, I can recommend you for sure an MIT-cable.  If there is one area that MIT speaker cables make a difference it is in extra but also well-defined bass.  I myself have expereince with MIT Magnum MA cables which are far beyond your budget.
My recommendation is to try out a MIT speaker cable within your budget and to hear how it works out.  The AVt 1 Speaker Cables would fit nicely.
Just a final word on my personal experience.  I really was a guy that did not (wanted to) believe in 'expensive' cables.  Before the MIT Magnum MA's, I was using Kimber 8TC's.  What a difference the MIT's do make. Just give them a try, you won't regret it.

Regards

Dirk

I have heard MIT's AVt1 as well as Oracle and Magnum MA, and can enthusiastically second ddetaey's endorsement of the AVt1.

Dirk and Robert - I am now making inquiries based on your recommendations.
I have always assumed that the arcane world of cables are best left to the professionals... my thanks to you both!
