Audio Research VS115 versus Cary Audio Designs CAS120S

Hello,
I would love to read a thorough and detailed head to head review of these two power amplifiers as they come from the factory and properly biased. These two amp's. are within a few watts per channel of each other, are stereo power amps, and can use either 6550's or KT88's. The sheer differences between them in sound, performance, measurements, etc. would be really cool to read about. Please do it with the exact same system in the same room using all of the same music with their output levels matched, where the mains line voltage is the same / as close as possible, the XLR/balanced inputs and the RCA/single ended inputs are used, and with the four and eight Ohm output taps used.
I vote for the AR VS115 as I thoroughly enjoy all AR gear. (Fast, incisive, tight, deep, extended, airy, lots of bloom, punchy, driving, visceral, etc.)
I have yet to listen to even one component from Cary that I care for. (Slow, lifeless, dull, boring, muddy, highly colored, fat, rounded, rolled off, way too warm, etc.)
Tom

Looks like you have answered your own question.

Now that is an interesting reply. I never did ask any question, but merely stated a request for a head to head review comparing the two amplifiers. Yes, I have a strong fondness for ARC and a stronger lack of fondness for Cary (for reasons that I shall keep to myself), but in general, do not care for the sound of their gear. Bring on the review please, TAS.

Then, what's your point?
