Using the Benz Ruby 2 with .7mv output with the Aqvox through the XLR connector. Getting excellent results with this combination. However considering the the Dynavector XX-2 becuase of it low outpust. I have a friend who uses an allaerts ECO with the Aqvox with remarkable results as well. Not sure of the output of the allaerts but it is lower than my Benz. Regards, Herman
I am using a DV XX-2 MkII with an Aqvox MkII using XLR in current mode. I love the combination. The weighty bass of the XX-2 MkII mated with the crystaline clarity of the Aqvox is intoxicating. There are 2 things that really open up the sound. One is a HiFi Tuning fuse and the other is a Furutech power cord. Another worthwhile tweak is to bypass the output caps by removing the top and flipping the DIPs. But a word of caution Your preamp must have input caps or your will blow your speakers.
