Thinking of buying one (most likely the CX7e). Hate picking out new cd player. There are ten easy analog turntable picks that I know would make me happy. Cd players have much less room for error. Some are just unlistenable to me.
Hope someone will review the new Ayre MP revisions soon.
thanks

I have the CX5e; it is a wonderful piece. the man machine interface is the best. Just pop in a disc and push play. The audio performance is equally satisfying. It holds up against competition many times the price. I ahve no experience with the CX7e.
I used to own the Cx-7e, and now own the C5-Xe. You won't go wrong with the c7. I listened to just about everything at that price point, and nothing is as good.
The C5-Xe is even better. The sound is more relaxed, with a bigger soundstage. It's sonic signature is to get out of the way so you are not hearing the equipment, but just the music. If you get the C5, you will find yourself buying any and all dvd-a and sacd's. Those formats sound much more amazing than the redbook. The C5 may be the best one box cd player on the planet.
