Is anybody out there?

I am new to this forum thing and I'm trying to reply to comments left regarding a topic I posted but my replies to those comments keep showing up as further response to my own topic. I haven't spotted any sort of help/contact portion for this sight so maybe someone out there can advise as to what I'm doing wrong.

If you hit the "reply" button below a post, the system will indent your reply below the post where you hit the reply button. The reply button for this purpose is as shown below:

If you, instead, want your post to show up at the bottom of the entire thread, use the Comment box at the bottom of the thread:

I think perhaps, based on your reply to one of my previous communications that I was actually getting through. Maybe it's just me missing the boat but I think the format leaves a bit of uncertainty in that regard. For example, at the bottom of what I am communicating to you it offers me the options to either post comment or preview when I merely indicated my desire to reply directly to you (?). Oh well, maybe I'm still not getting it but hopefully you're getting this.

Whether you start by clicking "Reply" or simply type into the comment form, you have to then click the "Post Comment" button. You should know that it worked because the page then refreshes and you see your post where I and anyone else see it.

If you want to reply to someone personally outside of the forum, as in an email, you will find that most users have that feature turned off/ Personal Contact Form is "off" as the default, but you can change it by clicking on "My Account" at the top of the page:

We default to off because most people want it that way.
