AMP - PRE AMP Matching

Hi,
I am interested to pair an Audio Research SP16 (incl Phono) with a Parasound A21
other components:
- Maggie 1.6
- Wadia 23
- All Stereovox Balanced IC and Speaker Cables
- All Acrolink PC
- Hydra 2
Would the Pre match the Amp? I completely do not understand how to match input impendance, etc.
HELP.

You shouldn't have to worry about the ARC and the Parasound working together from a technical point of view. The two products are competently designed (the ARC has a low enough output impedance to drive any power amp, and the Parasound will have a high enough input impedance not to load down any preamp).
The more important question is how the two sound together musically. I don't know about this particular combination, but ARC preamps driving solid-state power amplifiers have generally been a synergistic match.
