Is Aluminum Enclosure becoming the "Dominant Design" in Box Speaker Enclosure

YG came out with it first.  Now Magico has released the aluminum-bodied Q5.  Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

So is aluminum the wave of the future, with Magico on board?

Wondering what Fremer will say in his review of the Q5, as the Maxx3 is his reference.  I also hope JV can get to live with the Q5 to compare it to the M5.

Personally, as a very happy electrostat owner, I don't have a dog in this fight.  I have not heard the near $100K priced speaker from either company.  I have heard many speakers up to $50K.  Although the Mini2, Kipod, and the new Focal are very good, I would not trade my Logans or Soundlabs for anything at $50K or below at this point.

Actually, Magico has had the all-aluminum M6 out for some years now, so YG is not first.
Having said that, I also doubt very much that Magico was first either. I seem to remember some experimental Al speakers years back, but there again, I might be imagining things ..
