Acoustic Zen/Tri Room

I know that Chris Martens caught this room.
Did anyone else? What did you think of the sound in this room?
I thought it was very good and bettered most.

I listened to this tri-amped system, crossed over the DSP crossovers, at length and thought it was outstanding. So much so that I put on the review schedule a review of the Acoustic Zen Crescendo loudspeaker. It was amazingly dynamic and clean.

I really look forward to your review. Any idea when this will happen?

The review will appear later this year, but I don't have an issue date yet.

Mr. Harley- would you mind explaining. I heard this system in Denver and they were simply using the 845SE amp to drive the AZ Crescendos. They had taken out the high power monoblocks by the time I heard the system, and by most accounts, the sound was better with just the 845.
DSP? I was not aware of any processing.
I will agree with you that the sound in this room was the best I heard at the show. It was better by a long shot than the YG room, and I in fact liked it better than the Acapella room. With no acoustic treatment, this room had it from top to bottom.

My understanding is that the DSP served as the crossover for the actively tri-amped system.

Hi, At RMAF 2009 - the Crescendo was run on a simple system either on kt88 large mono amps, or a stereo 845 amp. Some preferred the 845 amp... the Crescendo is quite versatile and can be incredibly dynamic, handle big amps with ease, and also do very well on lower powered SET amps. At CES 2010, a more complex system was employed with a DEQX and several amps as well.. this also produced an engaging, powerful sound that did micro and macro dynamics equally well. These are one of the best sanely priced speakers around, and a load of fun too!
