5.1 System Rear speaker set up

I have normal point source speakers for my two rear channels (not bi-pole or di-pole).
1- Where should I mount?  Should they still be behind seating area?
2- The speakers are wall mount.  Do the need to be angles toward listening area (if mounted behing seating area)?
