Hello There,
I am particularly interested in the TW Acustic showing of the new Black Night reference table, and how it compares to the Raven AC.
Enjoy the show!
Please post your comments about PWT/PWD combo from PS Audio (Recently Released).
Thanks
Hi,
Please post your comments on PWT/PWD combo recently released by PS Audio.
Thanks,
Have a look at the HEGEL (From Norway) / DALI EUPHONIA MS4 (From Denmark w office here in Denver)
I'd like to hear a comparison of the PS Audio PWD DAC vs. the Empirical Audio Overdrive DAC. Both companies claim to have made "the best" sounding unit for converting digital audio, and the price of the 2 items is similar.
The other item is some perspective on hi-end speakers. I realize speakers that cost $40K or $75K a pair are going to sound good.
What interests me is if they are a good value: i.e., are there $15 or $20K or pairs that are comparable so that choosing between the expensive and extremely expensive pairs is more a matter of which sound you prefer (taste) rather than an actual difference level/quality between them?
Hey JV,
Would be interested on your comments regarding the Lotus Group's Granada loudspeaker. The Feastrex field-coil combined with actively-driven woofers sounds intriguing, and from the photos on their website, looks kinda beautiful too.
Looking forward to your observations. Have fun!
If Possible, Please report on the:
1: Air Tight room (specifically the ATM3 monoblocks) in the Audio Unlimited rooms. photos would be nice.
2: VPI Classic turntable;
3: Any music servers with: AES/EBU digital connection to an Outboard DAC and Capability of Hi Resolution audio 176/24 or 192/24; and Music servers by OPUS or Music Vault Diamond or Qsonix.
4: Quad II Eighty monoblocks and Quad Platinum series products.
Dear Sirs,
I would be most interested to hear about the TW Black Night turntable, those new(ish) Joule Electra Limited edition pre and power amplifiers, the Angelis Labor phonostage and any other comparable units. I am, if it is not already obvious, in the market for a "turntable to end all turntables" (my life priorities have recently changed, and I no longer have the facility of spending tens of thousands of dollars per annum on those perpetual upgrades that comprise our "hobby", alas). Oh, the new Graham tonearm and anything comparable would be lovely to hear about, as will any new, ultra-hi-fi DACs sharing similar technologies with the Berkeley Alpha and new Meridian Reference, that is if such devices have genuinely superceded anything that may be achieved by the newly multifarious "non-upsampling" units; reading between the lines, it seems that they have, although I lean strongly to the latter camp in philosophical terms.
Thanks, and regards,
david ball
Please share your thoughts on exhibits by Classe, B&W and McIntosh.
Thanks and enjoy!
Good luck with that request. I hit every room and could have missed something somewhere, but I don't recall seeing any of those brands at the show.
Can you see if Usher has any info on bass modules for the Be-718 Tiny Dancer speakers? I've heard that they're going to be announced towards the end of the year. Thanks.
Steve
Oh yes, I had quite forgotten about the JC Verdier "Platine Magnum" turntable, now that is something I really wish to hear about.....and come to think of it, detailed reports on any new iteration of anything Forsell, plus the da Vinci InUnison and anything new from Rockport - especially the rumored new record player - would be ecstatically received.
Not that I'm demanding, or anything like that.........
Thanks awfully - David
