Several people in the hi-fi industry made the trek from the GuangZhou show to Mr. Li's home, and afterward we shared a wonderful meal in Mr. Li's restaurant.

The photo shows, from left to right, Mr. Li, Dick Diamond (representative for YG Acoustics), me, Peter Lau (founder and designer of Audio Space), and Alfie Liu (the U.S. representative of Audio Space).
So, is Mr. Li the "world's Number One audiophile"? If he isn't, I can't imagine who is.

First this guy owns multiple buisnesses most likely, and all that gear is waaayyy more than 6 million. It is truly impressive, mostly the amount of music. This was a great read. Thanks RH.
my Allah -----this guy is serious man ----- Jo Ki will be envious !!!!!
I am deeply humbled by this electronics temple - God bless the owner in his audio heaven!
this guy is waste the gear but he is rich anyway
this guy is one compnay owner
There's nothing more refreshing than recycled articcles from 2007.
One beautiful complex system to be sure. Does he own OHM A or model F loudspeakers?? If so Congrats ..... Because he is"nt likely to get my OHM F"s ...... and thats just too bad.
What can one say? This is not a lucky man, this is a blessed person! I feel lucky just to have been able to listen to Dave Brubeck's Take Five being played through a pair of MARTIN LOGAN Statements a few years back. I just can't imagine having all that fine gear.
There is two things I personally get from this:
1) I dont see the point in more than one good system. Why not just have the one "best system money can buy" and leave it like that.
2) The bloke must really be quite sad and lonely, as in each room there is just one listening chair. Whats the point, unless you have someone to share it with?
Sour Grapes I say.
He makes his collection avaliable for auditioning to the public on every weekend, and you could arrange for a full 3 day auditioning for individuals and groups.
I love a good obsessive, and the gent has some splendid gear. But did anyone notice the profusion of hard floors- reverb must be something else. Also, has he not heard the LINN theory, that unused speakers in a room will have a deletorious effect on the performance of those in use. All that power filtering, hi-res processing, then sent to bounce around a fairly spartan listening space.Still, I await my invitation for an afternoon of 'FAMOUS BLUE RAINCOAT' 'LET IT BE- NAKED' and DAVID@DAVID's 'BOOMTOWN' on vinyl.
Hi! , I would spend that kind of money, travelling and listening to live music.
A world class system is about having music brilliantly reproduced by WORLD-CLASS musicians (even deceased ones), performed at a time that suits you.
That is the reason for the existence of the high end industry IMHO.

Does anyone (Mr. Harley, perhaps?) know the contact details (email, at least) for this audiophile in Yangjiang? As it happens, I travel to this city 1-2x yearly and would love to meet and see his virtual museum there some time.
Not knowing his Mandarin name, only his English one, my hosts in Yangjiang could not look up his address and tel. number while I was there last week.
Thanks, John

Whatever floats your boat! If this is what he wants to spend his money on, it's his decision. I don't have that kind of money hanging around, so I'll never be in the same boat. My own gut feeling is that there is SO much gear around that I wonder if he'll really enjoy what he has. Right now I'm listening to Beethoven's 7th on my inexpensive system and loving it. REALLY loving it! Se La Vie!

Mr Li has style - he buys the best ! a most wise man indeed.
Ok...all right...all dream gears, I agree, but...
But I have a big objection: I couldn't see anywhere on the pictures some tube gears in the active systems!?! This is a big "minus" for me.
Maybe, I wasn't able to see some, please correct me if so, dear Mr. Harley. I would be only happy to change my opinion then.
Some recent pictures of Li
