TAS Editor-in-Chief and Magico’s Founder at Overture Event this Saturday

Posted by: Jim Hannon at 5:05 pm, May 13th, 2009

Here’s a gentle reminder about an upcoming opportunity to meet and greet Robert Harley, Editor-in-Chief of the absolute sound, as well as Alon Wolf, the creator of the Magico M5 at Overture Ultimate Audio/Video on this Saturday, May 16th from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Robert will be signing copies of all of his books including, The Complete Guide to High End Audio, Introductory Guide to High-Performance Audio Systems, and Home Theater for Everyone. Having spent decades as one of the industry’s premier audio journalists, Robert is a fountain of knowledge in all areas of audio (and home theater), and has accumulated a wealth of interesting insights and stories along the way. He is not only a dedicated audiophile and music lover, but also a great guy.

Besides meeting Robert Harley, you can also hear the remarkable Magico M5 loudspeaker and meet its designer, Alon Wolf. TAS’ Executive Editor, Jonathan Valin, called the Magico M5 “the best speaker he has ever heard at a trade show.” Read JV’s reaction to the M5 at: www.avguide.com/blog/the-best-sound-jv-has-ever-heard-trade-show.

I must concur that the Magico M5s are among the very, very best, and if you’re on the East Coast, it’s worth the drive to Wilmington, Delaware to hear them. This is the first opportunity to audition the M5 in a dealer’s showroom, and you can rest assured that the set-up at Overture will be first rate.

Since this is likely to be quite a popular event, please call Overture at 1-800-838-1812 to make a reservation. Here’s a link to all the event details: http://www.overtureav.com/events.html

I’m hoping that Robert and Alon reprise this event on the West Coast so that I can hear the Magico M5 loudspeaker again, well in advance of the next CES, and get some signed copies of Robert’s books. In the meantime, I’ll just have to wait for Robert to report on the Overture event in his blog next week.

Happy Listening!
