A full show report will appear in an upcoming edition of The Absolute Sound. We'd just thought you'd like a flavor of what's happening in the Munich High End show, without potentially-bandwidth-hogging embedded video.
We're running slightly behind, because of the interconetinental nature of posting in Germany and hosting in America, but we can get a lot of mini-reports like this and the Wilson Audio feature.

Hi Alan
This sounds great and I am sure this kind of blog will only become more popular and informative over the next few years, really capturing the essence of the show. You are doing a great job in filling the boots left by the mighty RG!!!
There will be more soon. We're back from the show and have more to post up, including interviews and even what one TAS reader from Utah who traveled to Munich for the High End Show made of the event.
Unfortunately, this is a new thing and they take up some back-office work in the US. We'll have a lot more after Memorial Day (we call it Spring Bank Holiday in the UK).
No I don't think so. The M5 were playing, and the single piano gloss finish speaker was on display. I don't think there's any other change, but it will change the cabinet structure (it's not so easy to make a cabinet like that of the V3 piano finish) and thereby the sound itself.
Alan,
Saw the photo of the OTL amp on your review. Understand Eternal Arts has now a preamplifier with all tube set up and seemingly performance is in the Shindo league but with all the Euro CE regualtions met. Probably worth a review together with the OTL amp?
Thanks for the response. I know there are several of us wondering if the V3 will eventually inherit the M5's new tweeter, but it sounds as if this version will not.
If the cabinet is reworked for the new finish, then I suspect you are right and we can look forward to an even better cabinet and ultimately better sound.
Looks like it was fun. Just a small correction - the Lansche No. 3 being shown isn't with only Vitus electronics. Those are amplifiers from Digit Do Main of Japan, looks like an EMM digital front end and a Vitus preamp.
My apologies... it was a busy show, and my German is limited to ein weißbier, bitte, mein luftkissenfahrzeug ist voller Aale, andein anderesweißbier, bitte.
Hi there, Has anyone written a guide to the world's audio shows? Where, when, what etc? How to book, where to stay, who does the best, what to look out for, is English language enough, giveaways, all that jazz.. I cannot afford much highend hifi but I can travel for holidays, and i love to hear it. It has been years in Australia since we saw any such shows because we have not supported our industry very well, sadly. I would love to visit the ltalian industry, CES, Munich, London, but what else is there? Thanks, Rob

Smart move Magico..........The V3s in black look stunning.
They look even more stunning in the flesh. The finish is Steinway-like, but it's said to come at a substantial price increase.

Alan,
Are there any other changes to the Piano V3 besides the finish? Drivers, tweeter, enclosure structure, crossover, etc?
Thanks!

It could be worse! It is the season for the weissbier ... actually - I think I know where I'll have lunch today.
