At the first press conference of the 2011 CES, DTS unveiled their new 11.1 system. The event itself was high on enthusiasm, supplied in part by powerhouse producer Pat Leonard and experimental sound designer Diego Stocco. They collaborated on a commercial using the new 11.1 technology to demonstrate the new system’s ability to place sound accurately both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
DTS expects to see devices using the new system as early as the second quarter of 2011.
The question is does anybody want to put 11.1 channels in their home system?
We will see.

Long live stereo!
You have no worries in that regard.
I saw/heard less than five surround-sound set-ups in all the Venetian and The Show.
