Also, some 3D glasses have a slight color shift between the left and right lenses, in order to increase stereoscopic separation (and which is compensated for by a like color shift between the displayed left and right eye TV images). The Monster Vision MAX 3D glasses, however, don’t have apply any left/right color shift and therefore can’t compensate for sets that deliberately apply left/right color shifts in displayed images. We’ll be testing the Monster Vision MAX 3D glasses as we receive more 2011 3D TV review samples, and will add updates as we go.
At launch, the starter kit (one pair of glasses, converter module, infrared sensor cable, mini-DIN adapter cable and USB charging cable) carries a suggested retail price of $279.95, with additional pairs of glasses available at $179.95.
