Vizio Unveils 55-inch LCD HDTV

According to a company press release, Vizio is unveiling the VF550XVT1A its newest 55-inch 1080p XVT Series LCD.

The release continues by saying that the set features a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Smooth Motion Video Technology, which is designed to eliminate blur in fast-moving scenes. The set also incorporates a noise reduction technology to reduce artifacts caused by satellite and cable compression. In addition, the set’s 10-bit data input panel can display 1.7 billion colors.

The release adds that the set features SRS TruSurround HD in order to provide “a more immersive home theater experience” and TruVolume, which eliminates unwanted volume spikes that occur because of commercials or channel surfing. The set has component, composite, S-video, VGA, and five HDMI inputs.
