Ultrasone Unveils High-Performance Headphones

According to a press release, German headphone manufacturer Ultrasone is introducing the Edition 8 headphones, a high-end, special edition model that features innovative engineering and striking aesthetics.

The release says that the Edition 8 is a closed-back, over-the-ear headphone that incorporates Ultrasone’s S-Logic Plus technology, which creates natural surround sound while reducing the sound pressure level on the eardrum by up to 40 percent. The headphone employs a 40mm titanium plated driver and has a frequency response of 6Hz–42,000Hz. Additionally, the ear cup’s exterior is finished in Ruthenium for durability and to provide a unique look. The ear cup’s interior is covered in Ethiopian sheepskin, which the company claims provides better sound isolation than other leathers.

Paul Taylor, president of Ultrasone, says in the release, "This is the first pair of Edition headphones we have released that incorporates our newest S-Logic Plus technology. The Edition 8’s drivers provide immaculate detail but are also capable of delivering thunderous bass, the range of these headphones is staggering.
