January 9th, 2012, Stevenson, MD – This January, GoldenEar Technology is celebrating its first full year of product shipments with three important new product introductions. It has been a phenomenal year of growth for GoldenEar, as we rejoice in the tremendous achievement of our first-year distribution goals of establishing 125+ U.S. dealers and 10+ export markets. Now the true full significance, importance and strength of the line will become clear, as we add our second Triton Tower, our first soundbar and our first main front stage architectural offering to our recent CEDIA EXPO introductions and our initial speakers introduced in 2010. We will be showing at the Venetian Hotel, Suites 30-332 and 30-334.

GoldenEar’s Triton Two Tower has clearly set the audio world on its proverbial ear with extraordinary sound quality, elegant styling and previously unimaginable value. It has earned an incredible series of rave reviews and industry accolades from around the world – including more than a few Speaker and Audio Product of the Year honors and awards. Now we are introducing a spectacular follow-up: The Triton Three, which contains the same advanced technologies and delivers groundbreaking performance remarkably similar to its big brother.
The Triton Three is literally a smaller version of the Triton Two. It is the perfect solution for listeners looking for a more compact loudspeaker that offers equally superb performance for both high-quality two-channel systems as well as in multi-channel home theater and music systems. When paired with our perfectly matched SuperSat 3s and SuperSat 50C. Its sleek, elegantly curved and tapered design mirrors the award winning styling of the Triton Two with its beautiful marriage of piano-gloss black and designer-fabric-covered surfaces. Like the Triton Two, the Triton Three incorporates the built-in powered subwoofer technology first pioneered by GoldenEar principals Sandy Gross and Don Givogue. In this case, there is an integral 800-watt digital/DSP controlled power amp driving an active front-mounted long-throw 5”x 9” quadratic subwoofer driver. This is coupled to two opposing, inertially balanced 6.75”x 8” quadratic planar infrasonic passive radiators which are located on the sides, near the floor, in order to take full advantage of boundary coupling. There is one of the same 4.5” high-definition cast basket MVPP™ drivers as used in the Triton Two, along with the same GoldenEar signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) tweeter.
Performance-wise, the Triton Three delivers the same boxless three-dimensional imaging as the Two, which reviewers have hailed as “mystical”, “magical” – and, best summed up by the dramatic, “had us believing that the entire surface of the front wall was covered with speakers.” Likewise, the extremely deep, powerful subwoofer bass blends perfectly with the utterly transparent midrange and silky smooth high frequencies, which put many dramatically more expensive speakers to shame. Projected Retail Price is $999 each

The SuperCinema 3D Array is a remarkable new loudspeaker system that combines the elegant form factor of a soundbar with the extraordinary sonic performance of a true surround system. The aesthetically compelling visual appeal of a soundbar is undeniable. Unfortunately, both passive and active soundbars fail to achieve a truly convincing surround-sound experience when compared to a high-quality, fully discrete 5.1-channel surround system. GoldenEar Technology has developed a unique new 3-channel front soundstage soundbar that incorporates special 3D image optimization technology to achieve superbly lifelike, wide, deep 3D front stage playback realism with virtually no acoustic coloration. This technology, pioneered by Sandy Gross, effectively addresses certain problems that have been brought up recently in a 3D audio research project being conducted by Dr. Edgar Choueiri at Princeton University. Dr. Choueiri points out that the crosstalk that exists between the left and right loudspeakers and our contralateral ears, especially when the left and right channels are minimally separated as we normally encounter in soundbar systems, is deleterious to our ability to fully experience and process the imaging cues so necessary for 3D imaging perception. These imaging cues are present in the recordings but are dramatically corrupted in typical soundbar playback.
