According to a press release, Italian high-end projector manufacturer SIM2 is introducing the next evolution of its flagship projector, the Grand Cinema HT5000E.
The release continues by saying that the HT5000E features the latest DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments, using three 0.95-inch DarkChip4 DMDs (Digital Micro-mirror Devices) to create 1080p resolution images. SIM2 uses the highest-quality precision glass optics in the light engine in order to provide exceptional clarity, color-uniformity and edge-to-edge focus capabilities.
The release adds that the HT5000E has a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet port that allows it to be connected to a LAN network or to the Internet, enabling users to remotely control the projector using TCP/IP commands. The connection can also send projector operating status information (such as serial number, operating hours, and firmware version) to a designated e-mail address for assessment.
The release goes on to say that SIM2 provides a VIP “white glove” service to every purchaser of the HT5000E. Within two weeks of installing the projector, the dealer coordinates a visit to the customer’s home with a SIM2 technician who certifies the installation and calibrates the projector precisely for the customer’s own system requirements.
The release says that the HT5000E is available now for $58,000.
