SI Launches Black Diamond II Screen

According to a press release, Screen Innovations, based in Austin, TX, is introducing the Black Diamond II, the latest version of its popular, ultra high-contrast projector screen. The new screen delivers higher picture quality than the previous version and enhances projector performance by providing a greater contrast ratio, more accurate color reproduction, and a greater depth of field.

The release continues by saying that the screen, available in .8 and 1.4 gain versions, performs exceptionally well even in brightly-lit environments thanks to its ability to filter out ambient light.

The release adds that the screen is available in the following sizes: 142-inch diagonal for 2.35:1 and 2.40:1 aspect ratios, 113-inch diagonal for 16:9 aspect ratio, and 90-inch diagonal for 4:3 aspect ratio. The release says that because of the screen’s high performance, it does not require black masking if you are watching a wide aspect movie on a 16:9 screen.

Pricing: Starting at $2700
