Screen Research Introduces New High-Contrast Screen Fabric

Screen Research, a design-and-engineering firm in Nantes, France and creator of SolidPix screen fabrics, certified by the ISF (Imaging Science Foundation), is now shipping its new GrayPix Ultra-contrast screen fabric. These new fabrics are slated to solve a problem that is becoming more common as multi-use media rooms become the order of the day over dedicated home-theater rooms. Multi-use rooms typically have less than ideal lighting conditions and require higher-contrast-capable screens.

For the more technical reader, know that the GrayPix Ultra-contrast screen fabric has a 0.7 on-axis gain, which is designed for today’s higher performing 3-chip DLP and D-ILA projectors. Its off-axis characteristics help eliminate hot spots and maintain color uniformity.
