The PS 300 NC provides up to 18 hours of listening time on its rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Phiaton ships the headphones with an extra battery (a $50 value) as well as a battery charger. The battery charger also works in conjunction with a USB cable, allowing users to charge the battery with a PC, laptop or from nearly any location.

The PS 300 NC features Phiaton’s patented noise cancelling VHST™ -- Valves of Heart Sound Technology -- that provides deeper, richer low tones from a compact headphone design. VHST utilizes check valves that expertly control airflow in and out of the headphone speakers. This, in combination with the rear enclosure and closed-ear designs, creates an occlusive effect for superior noise reduction.

When the PS 300 NC is worn, the ear pads contract, exerting pressure on the front of the speakers. Phiaton’s VH Sound Technology reduces air pressure and transforms incoming noise into reversed phase signals that cancel unwanted noise. The PS 300 NC also features an adaptive acoustic impedance control for ideal sound in any mode (noise cancelling on/off), a finely tuned frequency balance and soft bass response.

The PS 300 NC features Studio Grade 40mm Electrodynamic Drivers, 98dB Sensitivity, 32 Ohm Impedance and a maximum input power of 1000 mW.  It offers an impressive Adaptive Acoustic Impedance Control bass control switch that is located on the bottom of the headphone housing.
