According to a company press release, headphone and “music docking station” manufacturer Phiaton is introducing its PS200 earbuds ($249).
The release continues by saying that as part of the PS (Primal Series) line, the PS 200s were specifically designed with classical music in mind. Naturally, the earbuds are also fully capable of reproducing rock, hip-hop, and other styles of music with poise and clarity.
Jong-Bae Lee, chairman of Phiaton Corporation, says in the release, “Phiaton’s new PS 200 is the ideal music listening device for all types of music genres and really shines when listening to acoustic and string instruments. The PS 200 highlights Phiaton’s commitment to providing the best in personal audio devices with the smoothest and clearest of music sounds.”
The release continues by saying that the PS 200s employ Dual Balanced Armature drivers (with passive crossovers) that incorporate two speaker units for each ear—“one speaker providing high-end clarity and detail sound, while the other speaker provides rich low tones with powerful bass.” The PS 200s specify frequency response of 8Hz–30,000Hz, while offering a relatively low (39 Ohm) load. The PS 200s include soft silicon tips in three different sizes in order to provide optimal fit for users. A 3.5mm plug, a plug adapter for air travel, and a genuine leather case are also included.
